The piece is mainly done in traditional hand drawn animation with some 3D elements and after effects compositing.”
I’m not posting this because the first few words spell out “Paris” and “A Plane” on the day I fly to Paris, on a plane, to go to OFFF. But I do LOVE the coincidence ; ) This looks great, its a trailer for a new show with Ed Banger Records, a web-series, following the whole Ed Banger crew as they discover New York, the American club scene and are exposed to their rising success in the U.S.

Nexus Productions’Johnny Kelly created this fun film for YouTube Play, a celebration of original digital creativity organised by YouTube and the Guggenheim Museum, with selected videos to be showcased on both YouTube and at the Guggenheim. Using a combination of stop frame animation and dynamic camera work, Johnny designed each world to mirror the creative diversity of content made by YouTubers. Johnny added, ” I wanted to try and capture that down the rabbit hole feeling you get when watching YouTube – you start by watching something innocent like a music video, then another video catches your eye and before you know it you’ve spent your fourth hour watching videos of pandas playing pianos.”
