Directed by Hans Christoph Schultheiss for Sehsucht: Paper World. Christoph is a creative director and illustrator with roots in graphic design and classic animation. Hans has designed and directed spots for clients like Lamborghini, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Sony that have been awarded at ADC, VDW, Red Dot, New York Festivals and others.

Follow the paper plane into Sehsucht’s latest origami-style world of helping hands and improved communities. We produced the 30 sec. TVC “Paper” in full CGI for Deutsche Fernseh Lotterie, a charitable lottery, and their agency Zum Goldenen Hirschen, all three companies from Hamburg/Germany. Director Hans-Christoph Schultheiss and his team walked the tightrope between reduction and complexity, aiming to create the characters as human as possible but with a realistically foldable look that carries the complex textures of paper.

FAUX IMAGES is a regular meeting, which provides a platform for showing and exchanging work and networking for the Berlin animation and motion design scene.
Besides the opportunity for artists to present themselves and their work, central to “Faux Images” is the idea of community and mutual inspiration.
At each meeting, local and international filmmakers, designers and artists from related disciplines are invited to present their work through lectures and screening.
“Faux Images” is organized by Andreas Fischer & Mate Steinforth in cooperation with the Lab for Electronic Arts and Performance (LEAP) and WeAreChopChop.
“Faux Images” will take place quarterly in LEAP at Alexanderplatz in Berlin.
Admission is free.

Inspired by the icelandic volcano, which wreaked travel havoc across europe in april 2010, joanie lemercier [antivj] presents the latest incarnation of its audiovisual mapping project for the first time in london. painted directly onto a large wall, a wireframed scenery is slowly revealed by gentle light effects.

Cancer 4 Cure, the latest album from alt hip-hop artist EL-P, may drop May 22, but fans of the Brooklyn rapper’s hard-charging lyrics and industrial production aren’t exactly known for their patience. To sate their hankering for the brand new tracks, fans are being treated to a series of teaser videos created for each song on the upcoming release, each directed by Timothy Saccenti from @radical.media. And when it came time to produce the eye-popping mix of CGI and live-action footage for series highlight, Drone, Saccenti turned to director Mark Szumski and his team at Click 3X for help.

SHOWstudio filmmaker Ruth Hogben collaborates with award-winning musician Kanye West to create a film for his single Lost in the World. The song, which features Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, is taken from West’s fifth album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Hogben’s piece breaks the mould of popular rap aesthetics while still celebrating the extraordinary talent that has made West a modern icon.

L.A based The Creepster is a visual storyteller exploring the relationship between the playful and seductive. Drawing influences from nostalgia, eroticism, and absurdity; new variations are crafted from both seductive and humorous narratives.
