W+K Tokyo Lab, along with breakbeat duo HIFANA, released a free Iphone App today; Fresh Push Play, is a sound sampler/sequencer/game … a new kind of music app that features 16 pads, and the equipment HIFANA use in their live performances. The app features a socially interactive game where players can simulate HIFANA original songs, giving users complex beat-making by simply tapping buttons.

New York City based Firstborn, one of the forerunners in developing leading edge interactive content, and as you can see in their latest Studio Reel for 2011, this also includes design, CG, animation and motion graphics. Firstborn was (ahem) born, in 1997 and I still remember having my mind blown apart by the quality of their original projects. Not much has changed ; )
Paris based Hellohikimori, leading the way in design, 3D and interactive content, recently launched Universeries.com; The Brief: Create the new online reference providing unmatchable information about TV Shows creators. Universeries presents more than 140 profiles of series creators and covers more than 1000 TV shows from the 40’s to the latest productions, from Alfred Hitchcock to Matthew Weiner (Mad Men). Paris based Hellohikimori was selected by Orange Cinema Series to drive all digital activity for The Walking Dead launch. The series enjoyed immediate success in the US, attracting an audience of 5.3 million in its first season. Hellohikimori created a website matching the high production values of the epic zombie nightmare adventure. All content is accessible via the homepage, making for an easy no-click-through experience enabling the audience to fully immerse themselves in the gruesome, highly-charged atmosphere of the series, where usability, simple navigation and vertical composition allow for maximum grisly impact.
The West Lobby is a kinetic space, centered around 8 giant central columns wrapped with mirrors and LCD screens. Rockwell Group’s LAB installed 384 displays on the columns and 26 behind the registration desk to create a platform for a variety of customized immersive digital experiences in the space. Off this lobby is the dream-like Vesper bar with a ceiling covered in metal mesh to look like a cloud, and shimmering silvers and whites throughout the space.
The LAB is Rockwell Group’s digital interaction design team. The ambition of the LAB is to explore, experiment, and demonstrate interactive experience augmented with digital technology in objects, environments and stories. And they have done some might impressive works including this project too.
