Beats + Video

Beats + Video =
Benny Benassi – Who’s Your Daddy (warning: gaudy T&A, but nice design)
Vitalic – Birds, by evergood Pleix
while we’re at it, might as well also throw in this oldie: Futureshock – “Late at Night”

Full Auto

Nice use of Flash Video: SEGA Labs, promoting the (Toronto-made) XBox 360 game “Full Auto”. Site by Ever Growing.

electroplankton

The hard to define non-game “artistic musical experience” that is Electroplankton is now available for sale in North America. Nice site too.

Earth Fly-by

Messenger probe fly-by of Earth, in 24 hour time lapse video: Earth Departure Movie. Awesome. Gorgeous. Almost looks rendered.

Not Safe For Work, but you shouldn’t be working on a weekend anyway: dziewczyny mojego dziadka — “My Grandfather’s girls”. Vintage turn-of-the-century erotica photos from Poland, presented in a nicely design (albeit with a tired page-flip navigation) package.

Speaking of retro, the NES Glitch Compilation is 30 minutes of glitched out NES games. Good for background projector fodder. Makes me want to blow into my old cartridges.

NameVoyager

Cool (java) visualization app showcasing America’s baby name choices for the last century: The NameVoyager.

Also, Old School (Hip Hop) Party Flyers. Not for the bandwidth-challenged.

Katamari

Have you picked-up Katamari Damacy yet? It just won a Japanese Good Design Award, along with the iPod mini and these genius wooden LED clocks. That’s some good company.

Front Design

Swedish Front Design does some nice industrial design and conceptualization. Dig the gravity lamp.

In a similar vein, Artcoustic makes some beautiful
speakers.
