Eric Mootz: “Celestial Chaos”

Softimage, German artist Eric Mootz released Celestial Chaos, a two minute video experimenting with “emNewton2″, a plugin for ICE which implements Isaac Newton’s “Law of universal Gravity”.

“The main difficulty of the implementation was to achieve reasonable simulation times even though each particle attracts each other particle (that’s the evil O(n^2) thing).
As usual the main reason for the animation was to test the stability of the plugin.”
