Tobias Rehberger: Architecture, Setouchi Art Festival

German process artist Tobias Rehberger participated in Japan’s Setouchi International Art Festival where artists and architects converge from 17 countries. The festival takes place across Japan’s southern inland islands in an attempt to rejuvenate its depressed rural areas. Tobias renovated a vacant house on one of the islands, creating this op-art infused cafeteria/restaurant called “Was du liebst, bring ich auch zum weinen” (What You Love also Makes You Cry).
