W+K Tokyo Lab: HIFANA documentary

Some news from W+K Tokyo Lab; HIFANA, a break beat duo formed in 1998, has been wowing club music fans around the world with creative and unique live performances. Their first documentary film, planned and produced by W+K Tokyo Lab is now online. In addition to HIFANA’s rare live performances in Japan and abroad, the film features exclusive interviews with HIFANA themselves as well as various artists and creatives who have collaborated with them, uncovering the core of their music and visual expressions.

Echolab x 2: Mobiado & Pause Fest

Two amazing new projects from Dublin based Echolab; above, Mobiado Stealth 712, promoting Mobiado‘s new addition to its luxury watch collection, the Stealth 712. Visuals by Moscow based Stereotactic.

Next up is a collaboration with Murat Pak, this time for Pause Fest, creating their 2011 ID – Echolab Version. Although Pause Fest was sponsored by a music company and hence all audio was completed by said company for offical openings/titles, etc. However, a few of the visual artists involved are taking it upon themselves to re-release versions with audio they feel more accurately reflects a final product they initially had in mind. Nice!

Crailtap: Girl & Chocolate Trailer

Crailtap; Home of Girl Skateboards, Chocolate Skateboards, Fourstar Clothing, Royal Trucks, and Lakai Footwear … recently launched this Girl & Chocolate Trailer for the upcoming 2012 film.

Atelier Olschinsky – a studio by Peter Olschinsky and Verena Weiss based in Vienna, Austria – have some incredible work on display. Just the structure studies are worth a whole morning dedicated to it.

Dropbear: Hudson – Against The Grain

Australian pixel pusher Dropbear created this new music video for ‘Against The Grain’ from emerging Melbourne indie-folk artist Hudson sees him collaborate with film maker/animator/VJ Dropbear (aka Jonathan Chong), producing a vibrant and colourful clip based around a mainstay from our humble artistic efforts throughout childhood – coloured pencils.
