After a year of R&D and production, Minivegas and Proud Creative have created uniquely customizable, voice reactive idents for S4C, using real time compositing.

It seems the door is opening for this kind of customization in broadcast. Another example is Onesize’s idents for G4 (I drool over this animation) which allow the client to easily remix the visuals in any number of sequences. “Even the audio is customizable”.

If you’re in the South Hampton area, or really want to check out some fresh works, the Nu Visual Language exhibition will take place at the prestigious Bargate Monument Gallery from 7th May – 15th June 2008. Private view (VIP party) takes place a day earlier 6th May) where anyone could meet all the guys behind the project, music artist involved…the lot. Also, there’s a little soiree planned after hours. To top it all up, they’re giving away the visual mixtapes on the night, a collection of exhibition artworks in one little handy package. The “mixtapes” will be available to purchase via the main website after the launch.
Michael Kelly and Johnny Kelly are two brothers from Dublin who work separately and sometimes together. From the Johnny side of Mickey and Johnny : an excerpt from Procrastination: “Graduation film for MA in animation at the Royal College of Art.
