Nando Costa and company have moved shop to Portland and opened Nervo. it seems like the fresh clean coastal air is getting their creative juices going.Digital Kitchen blends live action with imaginative animation, bringing PBS and WIRED Magazine together to promote “WIRED Science,†a new series that itself combines the magazine’s trailblazing design and whimsical tone to the respected public network. “As soon as the job was awarded, we went headfirst into production,†says Brad Abrahams, Creative Lead at Digital Kitchen. “Designer Steve Fitzgerald provided a board design that proved to be the inspiration for the spot. We knew from the start that we wanted to show science in a simple and colorful way, mainly because WIRED Magazine has always expressed optimism towards science and technology. We wanted the piece to be very playful and appeal to a layman’s view of these scientific endeavors and discoveries.”
