Working with agency Brand New World, 4stroke.tv recently completed the second half of the Teletoon brand identity entitled, The Detour. The on-air package consisted of idents, promo donut, opens and a promo toolkit. 4Stroke.tv has done a great job giving Teletoon a new, vibrant identity.

FITC will be presenting 4 large scale projections (Aprox 9 ft x 12 ft) along the wall space above the main public area at the Hilton Toronto, from April 21st-24th, 2007, during the FITC Toronto festival. This project is affectionately called the ‘Ring Of Video’.

5 artists will produce 10-15 minutes of Video We will pay each artist $500 for this work. Including the projections at the event, we will also aim to produce a DVD of the work to be sold at the festival and online after the festival. THEME: ‘Panic. Don’t Panic.’ Deadline: artists to reply by Tuesday Feb 27th. We will be selecting artists by March 1st.

Thunderdog Studio will be throwing a Collective Exhibition at BLK/MRKT Gallery in Culver City Feb 24 to kick off the release of their new set of designer toys.

Toronto based 3:AM Deisgn gets dirty with this car smashing mograph show open for OLN’s new series “Crash Addicts“, a comedy about the most dangerous sport ever, demolition derby. Also check out their recent open for Pretty Dangerous, a docu-crime series on Global TV. Keep an out for 3:AM‘s site update coming soon too.

STARDUST

Fuel TV began producing on-aiir “Signature Series” IDs back in 2004, which are inspired by limited edition signature skateboard decks. Stardust teamed up with deck artist/illustrator Nathan Reifke for Fuel’s 16th ID.

FITC BRAM TIMMER

Congrats to super talented Bram Timmer for winning the FITC banner contest. An up-and-comer for sure, Bram will be branding and designing the FITC 2007 presence including the program guide, lanyard badges, the FITC booklet and banners. Flash Artist – Intermediate/Senior
-must think about animating with code before tweening
-must have a meticulous eye for design and is fluent in Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash AS2.
-must be well versed in broadcast graphic design and should be able to work in After Effects
-3D animation is also a huge asset
-immersive applications such as processing and Max are a big asset as well!
-3-6 years industry experience required preferable in a big agency advertising environment
-Computer Science degree or related, BFA is an asset, awards are essential.

Interactive Art Director – Intermediate/Senior
-must be an integrated thinker
-must be great with ideation, concepting and design
-must be able to story board their ideas
-must be an artist – first
-must be a great presenter and great with people in general
-must be fast and efficient
-must have the portfolio and awards to show!
-3-6 years industry preferable in big agency advertising environment
-BFA or similar required
-OCAD or art school grad preferred
