I recently saw this on tv: A52‘s latest project, a funny commercial for Helio , directed by Napoleon Dynamite’s Jared Hess of Moxie Pictures. Live action was shot at the Olympic Training Center in Salt Lake City. A52 used Maya and Mental Ray for CG. You can view some of the CG development at Darnell Works’ site.
Toronto based Amoeba Corp created this cool community art site for young creatives to show and share their work. Its like mixing YouTube, MySpace and art school together in one site and watching the visual party reveal itself. Golden SQ spent four weeks, with four animators, flame artists and after effects designers to create this new MINI campaign, directed by Partizan‘s Chris Cairns.
