FRANK MILLER : 300

The teaser for 300 has been updated to a full trailer. Based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel and directed by Zack Snyder (who is directing Rainbow Six in 2008), 300 looks like an incredible visual experience.

A52 : HELIO ‘SCUBA TIME’

I recently saw this on tv: A52’s latest project, a funny commercial for Helio , directed by Napoleon Dynamite’s Jared Hess of Moxie Pictures. Live action was shot at the Olympic Training Center in Salt Lake City. A52 used Maya and Mental Ray for CG. You can view some of the CG development at Darnell Works’ site.

AMOEBA CORP : FRUITOPIA

Toronto based Amoeba Corp created this cool community art site for young creatives to show and share their work.  Its like mixing YouTube, MySpace and art school together in one site and watching the visual party reveal itself. GOLDEN SQ : MINI

Golden SQ spent four weeks, with four animators, flame artists and after effects designers to create this new MINI campaign, directed by Partizan’s Chris Cairns. The entire project was created in 3D with the final animations to be projected at up to eight outdoor locations on enormous screens up to 26 metres in height. (via Best Ads on Tv)
